New features added to ADAS

Hyundai has updated the Bayon, its small SUV for the global market, for 2025 with new safety, connectivity, and design features as well as an updated interior. In terms of international markets, the Bayon is ranked below the Kona, Tucson, Santa Fe, and Nexo. Hyundai does not currently have any plans to launch it in India.

New Familiar appearance

Hyundai’s latest family aesthetic is incorporated into the compact SUV-style Bayon. The Verna’s horizontal light signature is presently a result of the integration of a DRL bar, which was specifically designed for the European market. Both the radiator grille and the front bumper now have a different design. Along with newly designed 16- and 17-inch wheels, the rear has a redesigned bumper.

Fresh interior design elements

Along with a new 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster and a separate 10.25-inch infotainment display, the Bayon now includes Over-the-Air (OTA) map updates. Additionally, there is a wireless charger, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay, as well as the most recent version of Hyundai’s Bluelink telematics. Two USB-C ports are present: one on the front and one on the back. The updated model offers multicolored front ambient lighting as an option, and LED technology has replaced light bulbs to improve in-car illumination. LED room/map and sunvisor lamps are also optional.

Features of ADAS

Lane following assist (LFA) and forward collision-avoidance assist (FCA) are standard features on the 2025 Bayon. FCA sounds an alert and applies the brakes if needed to stop a collision. This feature includes junction turning, which can apply the brakes to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle when turning at an intersection, as well as detection of cars, pedestrians, and cyclists. Another feature is navigation-based cruise control (NSCC), which uses information from the car’s navigation system to automatically change the speed of the vehicle when traveling on a motorway or highway.

Driver attention warnings, lead vehicle departure alerts, and blind spot collision avoidance are additional ADAS features. As of right now, Hyundai India has no intentions for the Bayon. The brand already offers a sizable lineup of SUVs, which includes the Tucson, Alcazar, Creta, and Venue.
